News Item: Railway Plant Services Named Plant Hire Company of the Year
Railway Plant Services Ltd has been voted Plant Hire Company of the Year at the annual 2024 Plant & Civil Engineer awards.
They were presented with the award, sponsored by Hire Association Europe in partnership with SafeHire Certification Scheme, during a glittering ceremony, compered by television and radio sports presenter Adrian Logan, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in South Belfast.
Established in 2008 by business partners Kieran Fegan and Chris Feeney who have over 20 years experience on the Rail network across Great Britian, Railway Plant Services is a leading provider of plant hire within the Northern Ireland railway industry which also played a key role in the extensive works at the new Belfast Grand Central Station.
Delivering high quality, reliable and safe equipment, RPS supports railway projects across the region with a fleet that includes machinery used in railway construction, maintenance, and repair and is tailored to meet the demands of the industry. Its commitment to excellence has cemented long-standing relationships with major railway contractors.
The awards judges said the company had shown ‘exceptional dedication to quality, safety, and innovation.’ And they added: “Their commitment to rigorous safety standards, 24/7 customer support, and the adoption of advanced technology has set them apart as a true partner to their clients. They are worthy winners, with a strong focus on excellence and forward-thinking practices.”
Organised by the Hillsborough based publishers of Plant & Civil Engineer, 4SM (NI) Ltd, the awards ceremony was attended by hundreds of guests and leading figures from the plant, construction and quarry industries. With 17 separate categories, the event is widely regarded as Ireland’s premier platform of recognition for those operating across all sectors of the industry.
