Multiple Fraudulent Hires and Missing Equipment in Bromley, Kent
Some items of construction and access equipment have gone missing after what appears to be several acts of fraudulent hire in the area of Bromley, Kent. The equipment was accumulated over four separate hire contracts between August and October 2022.
Mr Russell Davey was a known and regular customer of the hire company and paid a deposit on each contract so initially, nothing seemed suspicious. However, by November 2022 all invoices were overdue and debt chasing had begun, with no response from Mr Davey.
Representatives from the hire company visited both the building site location in Scotts Lane, Bromley, and Mr Davey’s last known home address in Orpington. Reports from Mr Davey’s customer indicate that work had stopped and he had failed to attend the site for some time.
The missing equipment includes:
- 1 x Genie Superlift SLA-10, serial no. SLAG-68358
- 3 x Acrow Props, No.2 (1.98m – 3.35m)
- 5 x Prop Pal Needle Wall Supports (with 10 locating plates and 20 locating bolts)
- 1 x UNIBOR magnetic based stand and 110v drill, serial no. N30623
- 5 x 2m Chapter 8 Barriers
