Introduction to Hire
Course Overview
This programme gives a complete overview of the equipment hire industry, outlines work opportunities, and highlights possible career paths. The programme can be delivered by HAE EHA Training or internally by your own teams using our free training pack.
The course content is aimed at individuals entering work or seeking a new career, including school-age learners, ex-military forces, young people not in education, and long term unemployed. Another goal of the programme is to encourage more gender and cultural diversity when recruiting for the hire and construction sector.
Programme Content
Key learning outcomes for delegates include:
Programme Delivery
Option 1: Delivery by HAE EHA
Delegates can attend an upcoming scheduled training session, on-site or remote online learning (see above)
Option 2: Delivery by Members
Contact us for the free training pack and deliver the course internally or blend elements of the training into your existing new-starter induction programmes
When delivering the course internally it is important that information on delegates is provided to the HAE EHA Training team.
Programme Benefits
Delegates who complete the full 6-hour programme will receive a certificate of completion, available from HAE EHA Training for £10 each plus VAT.
There is also the option for delegates to achieve the Level 1 Award: Introduction to the Hire and Rental Industry however, this will involve some evidence gathering and a subsequent assessment visit. For many this might be a first qualification and, if hire is chosen as a career path, makes the perfect foundation for other industry qualifications such as ServiceTech, Hire Desk Controller and Management and Leadership NVQ programmes.
Options for Delivering the Training
HAE EHA members have the option to deliver the training with a certificate of achievement, or incorporate training elements into their existing new-starter induction programmes, rather than offering a full Level 1 award.
