Founded in October 1999, Plato’s remarkable journey began with a simple £2 bet on New Year’s Day 1999. The challenge was bold: “Who could turn a £2 coin into the most profit by Millennium Day?”
This playful challenge spurred the acquisition of a small tool hire business in Stratford-upon-Avon in October 1999. At the time, the company was primarily focussed on tool hire, with just a 100 plates, no washing facilities, and zero technology.
Through rebranding and a shift in focus, Plato Catering Hire was born, a company dedicated to providing superb quality catering equipment for hire throughout Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, The Cotswolds, and the West Midlands.
From its humble beginnings, Plato has transformed into a multi-award-winning SafeHire certified catering equipment hire company.
Today, Plato Catering Hire stands as an industry leader in catering equipment hire.
