GoHire’s third branch in East Hull celebrated its 3rd birthday this month.  Just one week after having its two apprentices jointly nominated for Apprentice of the Year at the Hire Awards of Excellence.

“It really is party season for us at the moment”, Sally Wray, Managing Director of GoHire Group commented.  “This branch has had a difficult start, opening mid-covid and problems with getting the right team established right from the start. After a very challenging 2023, I just felt it really important to recognise the hard work of the team and to celebrate reaching three years.

“Anyone in business knows that three years is quite a significant milestone and I’m very proud of this and the excellent relationships we’ve developed with our local customers. At GoHire Chamberlain, we’ve established ourselves in a competitive area for tool hire.

“Many people doubted the viability of two branches in the same city but we decided to take a different approach. It may sound like a cliché, but we are a team of local people serving local people. Anyone local knows that it is very time consuming getting from one side of Hull to the other because it is shaped like a semi-circle and I am told it has the worst congestion in the country outside of London! Therefore, we needed to be easily accessible for construction firms and trades on both sides of the city.”

The team celebrated with live music from one of their apprentices, no less!  By day, Hire Apprentice, by night Pablo Carrizo Singer Songwriter!  BBQ, cake and alcohol free beer were the order of the day. The team welcomed Stuart Beck from Hilti who demonstrated the latest tech. Many customers and suppliers joined the team to celebrate and the sun shined.
