News Item: GR8 Tool Hire Supports ‘7 Emirates Run 4 Autism’
GR8 Tool Hire is proud to support the incredible duo behind ‘7 Emirates Run 4 Autism’. They’re aiming to raise a staggering £750,000 to create a game-changing app, website, and resources for Autism Awareness.
Their Mission: A Platform for Connection and Support
Their ambitious goal? To run the entire seven-Emirates loop, a gruelling 579km in just 10 days! This project aims to create a much-needed online platform for families and the special needs community. This app will be a safe space for connection, experience sharing, and support, free from judgment and isolation.
Beyond the Run: Their Commitment
The app will also provide valuable resources, including best practices on education tools, therapies, and nutrition, to empower families living with autism. In addition to supporting the runners, GR8 Tool Hire is dedicated to raising awareness. Several team members are participating in ‘Movember’ for the cause, and they’ve donated an iPad and AirPods to be raffled off.
Josh Thompson, managing director at GR8 Tool Hire said, “We’ve already reached a fantastic £3,000 mark in donations, and we’re committed to hosting more fundraising events. Autism is a complex condition that affects people in many ways. However, a lack of understanding and general awareness still exists. Together, we can make a difference.”

Building a Brighter Future for Autism
Many autistic children and their families struggle to find opportunities for connection and acceptance and the team at GR8 Tool Hire feel this needs to change. The funds raised will create an online platform specifically designed for autistic individuals and their families to connect, share experiences, and build a supportive community.
This will foster greater understanding, not just within the special needs community, but across society as a whole.
Josh concludes, “We believe in giving back to the communities that support us. Supporting charities is more than just a responsibility, it’s a passion. We love helping where we can because it’s an opportunity to make a real difference.”
